The scene of many invasions, the town of Kobarid has seen some ten different flags flying over its main square in the past hundred years. In WWI, the Twelfth Isonzo battle took place here; one of the most brutal armed conflicts ever in Slovenia, and one of the first to employ Blitzkrieg tactics. Through artifacts and heartbreaking testimonies, the Kobarid museum recollects the distress of men at the battlefield and pays a heartfelt tribute to its victims.
