Ostrog Monastery is an Orthodox Holy Sanctuary that is visited by pilgrims of many different religions. They come to pay their respect to the relics of St. Basil, whose miracles include curing infertility. St. Basil was actually Basil the Bishop of Metropolitan, the monastery founder who lived back in the 17th century. Ostrog monastery has two monasteries – the older upper monastery, built into a rock and the place of miracles, and the lower monastery added in the 19th century.
