9. The Lavender Fields of Hvar
Hvar was once the eighth largest producer of lavender in the world and is still often called the Croatian Provence today. Its blooming lavender fields are a sight to behold from May to July. Enjoy a breezy stroll through purple bushes to the distillery in Velo Grablje, where you will have the chance to gain a better understanding of how the oil is produced. Then listen to an a cappella performance in a local church, and finally - enjoy a meal of fresh local delicacies at the village square. End your day with a toast after stimulating all your senses!
