8. The Essentials of the Island of Brač
Brač, one of the central Dalmatian islands that looks onto Split, will make a fantastic day trip, especially by yacht. This island of rugged beauty is world-famous for its white stone that is built into Diocletian's Palace and the White House. Brač is the home to Croatia's most famous shape-changing beach, the Golden Horn. A majestic place for windsurfers, Golden Horn is found in the town of Bol and radiates typical Mediterranean charms. On the seaside Pučišća, visit the Stonemastony School that preserves this old tradition, and in the island's main town of Supetar, enjoy a dip at its horseshoe shaped beach.
