8. Sightseeing in Nin
The petite town of Nin sits some 30 minutes from Zadar and holds a remarkable mix of heritage, fun and beauty. The oldest Croatian royal town, the cradle of the Croatian state, is home to the smallest cathedral in the world. Positioned on one of the hills is the tiny church of St. Nicholas, where seven kings were presented to the public after coronation. Nin is famous for sandy beaches, so in addition to strolling around, exploring the salt pans and history of Salt in Solana Nin, you can also enjoy a swim and a healing mud treatment.
